(a). Worked as a resident in General Surgery in PGIMER, Chandigarh for one year.

(b). Worked in Indian Air Force as a General Duty Medical Officer between May 1981 and Aug 1983.

(c). Worked in Sultanate of Oman Air Force as Principal Medical Officer in Muscat when sent on Deputation by Ministry of Defence for three years from Aug 1984 to Dec 1987.

(d). Did Advance Course in General surgery in Armed Forces Medical College and gained Post Graduation qualification, M.S. (Gen. Surg). From University of Poona in 1990.

(e). Worked in Government Medical College, Mazar-1 -Sharif in Afghanistan as a Professor of Surgery in immediate post Taliban period when selected and sent on deputation by the Government of India.

(6). Worked as a WHO Fellow in Traumatology in St George Hospital, Sydney, Australia.

(g). Worked in the Department of Post Graduate Studies (SURGERY) of Command Hospital affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (Karnataka)

TEACHING EXPERIENCE:

Teaching experience in Command Hospital (Air Force) under Rajeev Gandhi University of Health Sciences,

Bangalore which is recognised by MCI from 1990 to 1993 and again from 2003 to (2006).

Recognised as a Post Graduate Teacher to guide the dissertation work of PG Medical (MS) students

RESEARCH PROJECTS:

The following Research Projects are undertaken in Armed Forces under AFMRC.

(a). Randomized clinical trials assessing impact of a light weight or heavy weight mesh on chronic pain after groin hernia repair.

(b). Role of Radionuclide tissue perfusion scans in the surgical management of diabetic foot.

(c). Randomized clinical trial assessing the results of surgical decompression of intra osseous pressure in Os Calcanei in 'Painful Heel Syndrome'.
